Marketing Analyst Internship – Charlotte, NC 

improve it!, LLC is looking to add its first-ever Marketing Analyst Maverick to its staff, and we think it could be YOU! (Yes, you!) 

We’re looking to hire a detail-oriented, self-motivated flexible Marketing Analyst Intern who is ready to take improve it!’s reach to the next level. Think you can handle the challenge of an expanding startup, researching two large markets, and supporting the crazy, creative energy of the improve it! office in Charlotte? GREAT! (We knew you’d be up for the challenge.)  

Timeframe for Internship Position: Expected 15 hours / week. Minimum 3-month commitment, up to 4 months with option to be extended.

Responsibilities Include:  

  • Research:  

  • Research prospective companies in Charlotte and Chicago (research includes but is not limited to organizational structure, company news and press releases, company size and growth, and organizational demographics) 

  • Be the mastermind of business news in both markets by reading local business journals, articles, and sources 

  • Gain mentorship in the research and reporting process and play a key role in creating lasting partnerships  

  • Client Experience:  

  • Communicate with internal team on supply needs 

  • Assist with post-workshop client experience and employee appreciation initiatives  

  • In the Field:  

  • Research networking and sponsorship opportunities in the Charlotte and Chicago areas, and attend networking events with Charlotte internal team 

  • Participate in and assist with quarterly workshops  

  • Attend improv shows in Charlotte to better understand community 

  • Mandatory laughter breaks as needed! 

Qualifications / Criteria:  

  • Junior or Senior Undergraduate Status 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) 

  • Interest in data analysis and telling a story from key findings 

  • High attention to detail and ability to work autonomously  

  • Self-starter who possesses curiosity about the business and professional development world 

  • Interest in expanding networking skillset and building Charlotte business contacts 

  • A passion or appreciation for the world of improvisation  

Compensation: $500 stipend upon internship completion and option for college credit.
